hi!!! hahaha you place my judgement much to highly, but they are awesome so you should definitely watch them!!! i havent watched either of them in quite a while so these are going to be very vague???

spirited away is a fantastic japanese cartoon about a young girl who accidentally comes across this old relic with her parents. as they pass through a dry riverbed they find a market, and she and her parents separate as they go eat and she discovers a bathhouse. in the bathhouse she’s warned that she needs to cross the river again by sunset otherwise she will be stuck in the spirit world, except returning to her parents she discovers they have been turned into pigs, thus preventing them from being able to return back to their world. this leads her to return to the bathhouse in the quest of changing her parents back to humans, which involves her taking up a job at the bathhouse and a whole lot of hijinks with a love interest/dragon, scary lady who turns into a bird and a greedy if somewhat evil spirit that needs to be invited in. it’s such a good film though i don’t know if this sparks your interest but it’s fantastic?

as for sailor moon it centers around a young girl who is told by her guardian cat that she is actually a magical warrior from a whole other realm here on earth to save it from trouble. that’s the initial premises, and the first few episodes sort of establish characters (sailor jupiter, sailor mercury, sailor venus etc) as well as sailor moon’s main love interest, tuxedo mask, who saves her a couple of times and sort of shows her her powers. as the seasons go on though they fight the powers of evil and more sailor [insert planet here]’s are introduced and they all have different personalities so you can identify with your favourite sailor and the backstory of the realm and the royalty which the sailor’s work for is revealed and shit it’s so girl power and cute and you get an awesome variety of characters and it’s pretty cool because sailor uranus and sailor neptune are actually girlfriends (like proper love interests) and it’s never really questioned basically it’s awesome and i spent a majority of history lessons last year watching episodes on my friends ipad in class it’s amazing
